Good-Bye, Hello
In a few days I will be ready to debut a new line of fabric wall art I've been working on for a few weeks now. So far I've made four pieces and I'm in love with each one. Will have to twist my own arm to put them up for sale. (ouch)
Since I debuted my new fabric necklaces this past summer, they've received lots of compliments, oohs and aahs. It's always bittersweet when some of my favorites sell. Sure, it's a swift boost the ol' ego, but at the same time it's hard to let go of something I made with my own two hands. Recently said good-bye to the following:
Come on out to Cliff Fest on Sunday, November 14th and the Jingle Bash on Saturday, November 20th. Or stop by the new handmade micro-boutique in Oak Cliff, Indie Genius, set to open in a few weeks. I'll be selling my beaded and fabric designs at all of those events! Be the next person to boost my ego!

Sold! New Fabric Sculpture Necklaces
I was pleased as punch when three of my new, totally original fabric sculpture necklaces sold last week. Each one is hand-sewn, backed with sturdy fabric, and strung on 100% sterling silver chain. There are still some left in my Etsy shop, and I'll be debuting these in person at the upcoming Urban Street Bazaar in Dallas on October 2nd and 3rd. Come and get 'em!

My First Custom Yoyo Necklace
I was honored to be chosen by Rebecca to create a custom fabric sculpture necklace for her wedding dress rehearsal and party. She was a pleasure to work with throughout the creative process.
As an artist-person, it is a dream when the client respects my work and provides positive feedback as I work to create something I can only hope she'll love. And she did! *wipes brow* Yay!
Thanks for such a wonderful experience, Rebecca! I hope you love your necklace and new hubs for years to come.

These are really big balls, people.
I am so in love with this new piece. When I bought the beads at a recent bead market, I intended to keep them for myself because a) they are simply gorgeous, and b) they cost a whole lot. But after making the piece, called Big Country, I decided to photograph and list it in my Etsy shop and share with you guys. I used my new dressform, which I am currently in love with, and a sweet delicate shrug from Anthropologie. Hurry up and buy it before I decide to keep it for myself after all!

Lots (and lots) of New Pieces
Today I managed to be a mom, hang with Pam, Dylan and Cheyne at Spiral Diner, go to the Peace Fest in Oak Cliff to see Mandi and Larry, meet Jennifer of Textile Fetish, and photograph and list 15 new necklaces.
No, I am not taking amphetamines. Yet.
By the by, all of my crafty friends named above and I will be at the 2nd Annual Jingle Bash. We're doing it again this year, even bigger and better with over 50 hand-picked vedors just oozing with handmade talent. Come on by the Sons of Hermann Hall of November 21st and see for yourself!
Take a peek and visit my Etsy shop to purchase these one-of-a-kind pieces! Some of favorites:

Night and Day
Big thanks to Vivilian for featuring my Night & Day fabric pendant in this beautiful black & white treasury on Etsy. My design is in good company. I especially love the Oscar Wilde charm necklace by Mrs Gibson.
And even bigger thanks to Patricia of Karmacrochet for the screenshot. Don't wait to long to check out this treasury. It expires later tonight!

Oh, Inverted World!
Lookie What I Made
I just love the assymetry of this new piece I call Oh, Inverted World.
I just love the assymetry of this new piece I call Oh, Inverted World.
This necklace is lovingly handmade with pure Thai Hill Tribe silver charms (a sweet poppy and two majestic leaves) and malachite stones. This gemstone is such a rich, deep green that you don't see in any other stone. The pink Czech crystals on the right balance out the large leaf on the left.
This one-of-a-kind piece is available in my Etsy shop, but if it isn't snagged soon, I just may have to keep it for myself.

Pixies, Peacocks and Dragonflies
New Designs for Spring
The past two months have been all about my newborn, Ian. But somehow I've managed to make a few exclusive necklaces and earrings. They are all One-of-a-Kind and available in my Etsy shop.
Never shopped on Etsy before? It is the marketplace for all things handmade. It's just like any other shopping site (Amazon, eBay, Anthropologie) where you will need to create a login and password. Sweet and simple!
